John Marino: Born and raised in the hill country of Ohio – a classic example of a man gone West. Living life as a Park City local and having raised children here has been one of his life’s great achievements. John is an expert split boarder. He has toured Rogers Pass, British Columbia, Wrangell Mountains of Alaska, Mt. Baker, the Rockies, the Tetons, the Wasatch, Sierras, Dolomites of Italy, the Austrian Alps, Chamonix, and Iceland to name a few. He also is a whitewater rafting and cataraft expert with solo and group expeditions on the Rogue River, Oregon, the Gauley River, West Virginia, the Colorado River, Grand Canyon, the Snake River, Idaho, the Salmon River, Idaho, the Pacuare River, Costa Rica, and many others. Lover of all 2 wheeled machines – active mountain biker and motorcyclist. More than this, his true connection to community and work is kindness, humility, and safety. He’s happy and comfortable teaching/ leading beginners as well as seasoned clients. John holds the following certifications: Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness First Aid, adult and child CPR, Swift Water Rescue Pro, and American Institute Avalanche Research and Education Level 2, and is an active volunteer in Summit County Search and Rescue. He also holds certificates in local beer and restaurant knowledge.
